Thomas was born in Denver, Colorado and spent his childhood reading, playing music and other random things his mother forced him to do. He started to write short stories in the 5th grade.
When he was in High School, his mother let him write the family Christmas letter, which he promptly filled with outrageous and impossible antics. Thomas doesn't like to brag about it much, but he has been to the World's Largest Ball of Twine (Cawker City, Kansas) and the World's Largest Concrete Goose (Sumner, Missouri).
Thomas lives in San Antonio Texas with his wife, and two children. Most of the time he can be found reading to his children, chasing them around, or getting attacked by the family cat. He also enjoys hockey, hiking, and annoying his wife with bad jokes and the useless trivia that gets lodged in his head.
